Description
“My Love Letter to Venice 014” invites you into the heart of Venice. Painted in oil on canvas at 40×50 cm | 16×20 in, this original artwork by Sergei Moskalev is part of the My Love Letter to Venice collection, where each piece serves as an emotional tribute to the city’s spirit.
“Entering Venice on a bright summer’s day feels like stepping into a living painting. The water is still, perfectly mirroring the sky, and the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute stands to the side like a gentle guardian, watching people move through the city below. Everything feels suspended in light—the calm, the romance, the quiet magic of Venice—and in this painting, I wanted to capture that sense of peace and timeless beauty, where every moment feels both alive and unforgettable.” — Sergei Moskalev
Drawing on his classical training at the Penza Art College and years of exhibiting across Europe, Sergei Moskalev has developed a signature style that bridges old-world mastery with contemporary expression. His Venice paintings transform gondolas, the Grand Canal, St. Mark’s Square, and Santa Maria della Salute into luminous, emotionally charged compositions. Each piece in this collection invites viewers to experience romance, mystery, and timeless beauty through Moskalev’s distinctive lens.
